This policy describes the data processed by the Rally Call app and the rally-call.com website, published by the site publisher, reachable at contact@rally-call.com. No user account is required to use the app.
Your sessions, trips, notes, angles, GPS points, notation profiles and settings are stored only on your phone. They are not sent to any server, except in the cases described below. You can delete them at any time from the app or by uninstalling it. The files you export (.rc.json) remain under your control.
- GPS location: used in real time to measure distances and link your notes to a geographic point. It is not stored outside your device, except for the RC+ feature described below. - Microphone and speech recognition: used to dictate your notes. Transcription is performed by your system's speech recognition service (Apple or Google), which may process the audio under its own terms. Rally Call does not keep the audio. - Bluetooth: used only to connect to the Rally Call button. No Bluetooth data is transmitted. - Motion sensors: used locally for the steering dial.
- RC+ (roadbook generation): when you run RC+, the session's GPS points (position, time, speed, accuracy, angle) and the text of your notes are sent to the rally-call.com server for computation. They are processed in memory and returned to the app; they are not stored on the server. - Weather: the weather screen shows a map provided by Windy (windy.com), which receives your approximate location. - Results: the results screen displays third-party websites (FFSA, organisers), subject to their own policies. - Usage analytics: the app sends anonymous events (screen opened, feature used) to Plausible Analytics, without cookies, device identifiers or location.
The website uses Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free audience measurement with no individual tracking: no consent banner is required. A technical cookie is only set for the admin area, reserved for the publisher. The online editor processes your files in your browser; they are not sent to the server.
Payments are handled by Stripe, which collects your payment details, name, e-mail address, postal address and phone number under its own privacy policy. Rally Call never sees your card details. For an accessory order, the publisher receives your name, e-mail, address and phone number in order to prepare and ship the order, send you the confirmation e-mail (via Brevo) and receive an order notification (via Pushover). This data is kept for the duration of the order and the warranty, then for the legal accounting retention period. For a marketplace purchase, your e-mail and a download link are stored in our database (MongoDB) so you can retrieve your files. They are kept as long as the link is active.
Your data may be processed by: Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payment), Brevo (transactional e-mails), Pushover (order notification to the publisher), MongoDB (database), Plausible (analytics), Windy (weather), Apple and Google (speech recognition and app stores). Some are located outside the European Union and rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR. Your data is never sold or shared for commercial purposes.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data. To exercise it, write to contact@rally-call.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
